February Agile Beer Night at Celtic Bayou in Redmond

Please join us in February on the 26th at the Celtic Bayou pub in Redmond for some beer, some conversations about Agile Software Development, and some networking with other folks in the area who do Agile. This month we're at the Celtic Bayou rather than Daman's Pub, because the bayou is at the 545 bus stop to make it easy for Seattle folks to make it over. It's 5 to 7PM, and happy hour ends at 5:30.

This pub is literally AT the ST545 bus stop for those of you commuting in from the West side... It's ideal - just hop on the bus, you're there in 30 minutes, have a few pints, and jump on the 545 back to Seattle. You should be sobered up enough to drive by the time you get back...

Great Meeting in January!

We had a great turnout in Seattle, thanks to the Atlas team and a few others. Thanks all who were able to make it to the Owl.

Here are some pictures of some of the festivities below.

Agile Beer Night - January

Agile Beer Night is next Thursday, January 29 at the Owl and Thistle Irish pub in downtown Seattle. It's on Post and Columbia at 808 Post Ave. Please join us there from 5 - 7PM for beer, some good food, and talk about Agile Software development.

This month's topic is "What makes an Agile Developer." What are the practices, techniques, and tools that make a successful agile software developer? Bring your opinions and input and share them with us! Or, come to find out for yourself how you might be able to improve your own practices... Either way, we'll see you at the Owl next Thursday!

Next Agile Beer Night Thursday Dec 18

Our next Agile Beer Night is next week Thursday December 18, at Daman's pub from 5 to 7 PM. I know we are all busy with working and shopping, supporting the local economy... So please do your part to support the Yakima Hops Growers too... buy BEER! Take a few moments out to join us at the pub for a beer and to share insights on Agile Software Development!

Whether you are an expert, novice, wanna-be or pundit, all are welcome! If you want to share your knowledge on Agile, or just pick some up - this is a great way to meet some folks and chat in a non-threatening casual environment. There are lots of great concepts discussed, and networking in the Agile community is highly encouraged here...

This will be our last meeting at Daman's this year, and next year we may start out January in Seattle again...

Please join us for some good times a week from Thursday!

Don't Miss November Agile Beer Night - Thu Nov 20

Don't miss this month's Agile Beer Night! It is TOMORROW from 5 to 7 PM at Daman's Pub (on 148th Ave NE - east side of the street, just south of the 520 on-ramp)

The meetings in November and December are going to be the Thursday a week before the last Thursday, due to the holidays those months. The December meeting will be on Thursday December 18. This should be plenty of advanced notice... so please plan to be there! The link to the pub's site and map is in the right column ==>.

Great Meeting!

Wow we had such a great meeting this evening. Had a fair turnout, but it's quality not quantity right? Lots of great conversations about many topics - Agile, Languages, Tools, and of course Advertising!

I created a mailing list for those who wish to be involved, it's on the blurb on the right column. Please subscribe!

I will be sending out only two mails a month, one a week before the meeting, and one the day before, just to remind folks and let everyone know what's coming up at the monthly meeting. No spam, I promise.

There were some complaints about Tuesdays, so from now on the meetings will be the last Thursday of the month, with the exception of November and December, since those are the holidays. The next meeting will be the week before Thanksgiving, Thursday November 20 at 5PM at Daman's Pub. The link is on the right for directions. The December meeting will be on December 18. I will post reminders periodically. Put it on your calendars, and plan ahead today!

BTW if there are any suggestions for speakers, topics, or the like, please feel free to post them or send them to the mailing list.
